WE ARE NOBLE.

Noble is a name that speaks to who we are and what we do. We treat members with kindness, dignity and honor. We do the right thing by helping members make sound financial decisions.

When the credit union began as Fresno County Employees Credit Union in 1941, we didn’t even have an office location to call home. The credit union existed only in the briefcase of Fred E. Main, one of our first members. Despite our humble beginnings, we had a dream to thrive and serve our members well.

The decades that followed were tremendously successful, and we became known as the credit union that truly values every member. In the 1990s, we converted to a federally charted credit union and became Fresno County Federal Credit Union. In 2017, we officially transitioned to Noble Credit Union. From now on, members can proudly declare, “I am Noble.”

Leadership Team

Noble Credit Union’s Board of Directors is composed of seven members who volunteer their time to serve and represent the interests of the membership. The Board of Directors meets with the credit union senior managers in the assessment of the credit union’s financial well-being and progress toward strategic goals. In addition, they direct the process of designing policies, strategies, products and services.

Board members attend various conferences each year and are well read regarding the risks, developments and trends within the credit union industry. Board members meet with auditors and regulators regularly, and monitor the activities of the Supervisory Committee.

Board members serve three-year terms in rotation and are elected by the membership. Elections are held annually, with the results announced at the Annual Meeting, normally the fourth Thursday in March. Nominations for a Board position may be made by petition. Any member who wishes to be nominated must submit a petition signed by 1% of the membership, not to exceed 500, along with a signed statement of willingness to serve if elected, and a statement of their qualifications. In compliance with Noble Credit Union’s bylaws, petitions must be received by the credit union no later than 40 days prior to the Annual Meeting. When there is only one nominee for each position to be filled, the election will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor.
